Book a ConsultationHow we help
UK Corporation Tax preparation needs to be coordinated with the company’s accounts and supporting records. We help organise the computation and return work within an agreed scope, with clear follow-up on adjustments and information that needs clarification.
What are the UK corporation tax rates and deadlines?
UK Corporation Tax is charged at 19% on profits of £50,000 or less and 25% on profits above £250,000, with Marginal Relief tapering the rate between those two thresholds. Both limits are reduced proportionately for short accounting periods and by the number of associated companies. The two deadlines run in an order that surprises people: Corporation Tax is usually payable 9 months and one day after the end of the accounting period, but the Company Tax Return is not due until 12 months after it — so the money is due before the return that calculates it.

Common questions
Should Corporation Tax and annual accounts be prepared together?
Coordinating the work helps keep the underlying records consistent and highlights differences between accounting figures and the tax computation. We agree responsibilities for both before preparing the return.
